Sustainable Built Environments 2030!

SBE 30 Concept
SBE30 (Sustainable Built Environments 2030), an initiative by Adhya Menda, will focus on building sustainable workspaces and social environments that follow sustainability guidelines laid out by COP26.
The Ideology
With decarbonisation goals and regulations for the built environment set in place, the goal is to secure global net-zero by the year 2050.
Sustainable Built Environments 2030
Leveraging the experience gained from previous social ventures like
WeRise, Adhya has now moved onto solving the greatest threat to
humankind today – climate change. With decarbonisation goals and
regulations for the built environment set in place, the goal is to
secure global net-zero by the year 2050.
In order to effectively meet net-zero carbon goals, the carbon
emitted throughout the full asset life cycle of a property, from
building development to operation and decommissioning, needs to be more
closely monitored. Repurposing old buildings instead of demolishing
them, securing energy retrofits of old buildings to cut the energy
demand for heating by two-thirds, and eliminating CO2 emissions by
switching to renewables or decarbonised energy are some of the measures
that can be taken to ensure net-zero by 2050.
Smart energy infrastructure is the fundamental interconnector
for such an integrated, efficient system.
